Baggies to swoop for Delph, Afobe?

West Bromwich Albion are reportedly preparing a double swoop for Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph and Bournemouth striker Benik Afobe in January.

Baggies manager Tony Pulis is believed to have a healthy transfer kitty at his disposal following the club's takeover by Chinese businessman Guochuan Lai in September.

According to The Mirror, Pulis has prioritised an experienced central midfielder and a striker as part of his mid-season plans and has identified Delph and Afobe as his top targets.

Delph has turned out just twice for City so far this season, having spent four months out with a groin injury, while former Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Benik Afobe is second fiddle to Callum Wilson and Joshua King with the Cherries.

Pulis is also rumoured to be pursuing Everton midfielder James McCarthy.
