West Brom considering move for Appleton?

Michael Appleton has allegedly emerged as a possible candidate for the head coach position at West Bromwich Albion.

Reports have suggested that Alan Pardew will remain at The Hawthorns for the remainder of the campaign, but the West Midlands outfit are still expected to make a change during the summer.

According to The Telegraph, the Baggies hierarchy have identified Appleton as a potential replacement with the 42-year-old having previously worked at the club as a coach.

Appleton currently finds himself as assistant to Claude Puel at Leicester City, but he is likely to be interested in a return to a managerial role having previously enjoyed a successful spell at Oxford United.

Earlier this season, Appleton also won two matches in caretaker charge of the Foxes after the departure of Craig Shakespeare.
