West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis has revealed that he is keen to see Saido Berahino remain at the club beyond this season.
The 21-year-old has been heavily linked with a summer move to Manchester United after marking his breakthrough season at The Hawthorns with 18 goals in all competitions.
United are said to be unperturbed by the fact that the youngster has gone nine games without finding the net, but Pulis says that he should stay with him next term.
"He has been brilliant this year, I don't know what is going to happen next year," he told reporters. "I think the kid should stay, I have said that to him. He is enjoying his football right now.
"He has a better rapport with everybody around the football club and is a better lad than when I first walked through the door.
"He is more open, together and integrated in the group. I think he could do with another 10 years at West Bromwich Albion."
