Shane Long: 'We need to learn from our mistakes'

West Bromwich Albion striker Shane Long says that his team need to learn from their mistakes following their 2-2 draw with Aston Villa.

West Bromwich Albion striker Shane Long has said that his side need to learn from their mistakes as they gave away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Aston Villa last night.

The Baggies had been cruising towards a 2-0 victory, but Karim El Ahmadi and Ashley Westwood led Villa's fightback to earn a point.

"It's a killer blow, and especially after Chelsea as well, with us all but having the three points there," Long told the club's official website.

"We play good football, but we need to start learning from these mistakes and control the game when we get ahead.

"It was a disappointing night and we have to learn from it going into the Newcastle game and make sure we pick up three points."

Steve Clarke's men are currently sitting in 11th position in the Premier League table.
