Bournemouth booked their place in the fifth-round of the League Cup by beating West Bromwich Albion 2-1 at Dean Court.

Eunan O'Kane gave the hosts the lead shortly after half time with a composed low finish past Boaz Myhill.

Tommy Elphick's own-goal looked to have sent the game into extra-time, but just a minute later Callum Wilson fired in to win the match for the Cherries.

Find out how the action unfolded below.

Good evening! The League Cup enters the fourth round this week and some teams are already eyeing an appearance at Wembley next March. Tonight Bournemouth and West Brom will be hoping to take a step closer to that showpiece occasion.

The home side could not be in better form coming into this match. They claimed a stunning 8-0 win against Birmingham City on Saturday to move up to fourth in the Championship table. It was their fourth win in a row and a real signal of intent as they continued their bid for a play-off place.

Things didn't go so well for West Brom at the weekend, but they recovered from being two goals down at half time to earn a 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace. It was their second successive draw in the league after their game against Manchester United last Monday finished by the same scoreline.

BOURNEMOUTH XI: Camp, Smith, Elphick, Cargill, Harte, Fraser, O'Kane, Gosling, Stanislas, Kermorgant, Rantie

WEST BROM XI: Myhill, Gamboa, Dawson, McAuley, Davidson, Baird, O'Neil, Mulumbu, Blanco, Anichebe, Ideye

BOURNEMOUTH SUBS: Flahavan, Daniels, Francis, Ritchie, MacDonald, Pitman, Wilson

WEST BROM SUBS: Foster, Wisdom, Gardner, Berahino, Sessegnon, Samaras, Roofe

TEAM NEWS: Bournemouth have made 10 changes from the side that beat Birmingham at the weekend. Captain Tommy Elphick is the only player that retains his place, but Yann Kermorgant is back after serving a three-game ban. The visitors have also made 10 changes, with Victor Anichebe and Brown Ideye chosen to lead their attack

What a month it has been for Bournemouth. They have moved to within two points of the top of the Championship after a great four-game winning run which has seen them score 14 goals and concede just once. They are the top scorers in their division and they showed that form in front of goal to set up this match, as they won 3-0 away to Cardiff City in their third-round tie.

There has also been a number of goals in West Brom's recent games and plenty of excitement in their previous League Cup ties. In the second round they were taken all the way to penalties following a 1-1 draw with League Two side Oxford United, before triumphing 7-6 in the shootout. Last time out it seemed as if their cup run was over as they trailed Hull City going into the final three minutes, before goals from Gareth McAuley and Saido Berahino helped them to a 3-2 win.

This is the 14th match between the two teams and its West Brom who have the better record, having won seven times, with Bournemouth winning on four occasions. The last time they met was three seasons ago in this competition, with the Baggies running out 4-1 winners at Dean Court.

PREDICTION: Judging by the each team's recent results we could be in for a high-scoring game this evening. Bournemouth will be full of confidence, but West Brom will pose a much tougher threat than Birmingham. The Baggies may not have got the results they have wanted in recent games, but they have put in some decent displays and they should have too much for their opponents this evening. For that reason, I am going to tip the visitors to win 3-2 in what should be an entertaining contest.

KICKOFF! We are underway at Dean Court!

CHANCE! The hosts have made a bright start to the match and they have the first attempt on goal of the evening. It's Kermorgant with the effort, as he cuts in from the left and gets to the edge of the box before drilling in a low strike that is well hit, but straight at Myhill.

West Brom are almost in behind at the other end of the pitch as Blanco is slipped in down the left, but the assistant has his flag up for offside. That was a close decision and on second viewing the Argentine can consider himself slightly unfortunate.

There is an awful lot of space for both teams and plenty of gaps for the wide men to exploit. The hosts have been seeing more of the ball, but Albion certainly look dangerous when they break at pace.

YELLOW CARD! Dawson is the first player to pick up a booking this evening, as he loses the ball to Rantie, before dragging back the striker as he looked to run clear.

Smith sparks the game into life as he sees a gap in the Albion defence and dribbles into the box. He then looks to square the ball to Kermorgant in the middle, but the visitors manage to crown him out before he can get a shot away.

CHANCE! This has to go down as a big opportunity for the visitors, as O'Neil rises to meet a deep cross at the back post, but he ends up heading wide of the target. That was a decent opening for the youngster.

YELLOW CARD! O'Kane is the first Bournemouth player to go into the book this evening for a foul on Blanco.

From the resulting free kick it's Mulumbu who goes for goal with a low drive, but his powerful shot is well saved by the keeper who holds on under pressure.

CHANCE! The best openings so far have fallen to the hosts and Rantie forces Myhill to beat away his low strike, after doing well to work some room inside the box.

Bournemouth are certainly looking the more likely to score the first goal of the match and they are getting plenty of men forward in each attack. The Baggies are finding it particularly difficult to deal with Rantie, who has shown bags of strength and pace this evening.

YELLOW CARD! Huge decision for the referee here as Harte tugs back Anichebe, who would have been through on goal. He could easily have been shown a red card, but is saved due to a covering defender to the side of him.

From the resulting free kick that West Brom are awarded, Blanco steps up and curls an effort over the bar. Moments later the hosts go down the other end of the pitch and Rantie ends up placing a header just wide.

Despite the score being goalless, it has been a very watchable first half-an-hour. The only surprise has been that we haven't seen a goal yet, but if the two teams keep up the same pace and positive attacking play then it shouldn't be too long before the net bulges.

CHANCE! It's the visitors who threaten as their record-signing Ideye is slipped in by Anichebe, but he can't get enough power on his curling effort from just inside the box to trouble the keeper.

The hosts really look a threat in the air and after a corner is cleared they work the ball wide to Fraser. He then whips in a great cross that is met by Gosling, but the midfielder is unable to direct his effort on target.

YELLOW CARD! Mulumbu is the fourth player to be shown a yellow card this evening for bringing down Rantie.

Bournemouth are ending the half the stronger of the teams and look confident in possession against their Premier League opponents. They are still looking dangerous when going forward and have managed to find a lot of space to get crosses in from the left-hand side.

We are going to have two minutes of stoppage time at the end of the first half.

HALF-TIME: Bournemouth 0-0 West Bromwich Albion

That just about does it for the first half and it's still goalless between Bournemouth and West Bromwich Albion. Both teams have had some decent chances to score, but the match is yet to really spark into life.

It has been fairly even, but the hosts have just shaded possession slightly, with 55% of the ball. West Brom have had the more shots on goal with five compared to four from their opponents, but only two of those from each team has forced a save from the keepers.

In tonight's other League Cup matches, there are three other games that are all still without a goal. In fact, only Fulham, who lead 1-0 against Derby County, have been able to find the back of the net.

One man who could come on in the second half and change the complexion of the game is West Brom striker Saido Berahino. The 21-year-old has been in brilliant form and has scored 7 goals in the Premier League this season. He even came off the bench to score the winner in the club's 3-2 win against Hull in the last round of this tournament.

Both sets of players are starting to make their way out of the tunnel and the second half should be getting underway in just a few moments.

West Brom take the kick off and get the second half started!

West Brom have the first chance on goal of the half and it's Blanco with the effort. The Argentine receives the ball just outside the box and the hosts don't close him down allowing him a free strike, which he can only fire over the bar.

GOAL! Bournemouth 1-0 West Bromwich Albion (Eunan O'Kane)

What a fantastic start this is to the second half as the hosts take the lead! Stanislas is the creator as he wins possession and drives towards the visitors' box. He then looks up and slides in O'Kane, who keeps his composure to guide a low effort into the bottom corner past Myhill.

The Baggies look for an immediate response and they win a free kick on the right-hand touchline. The ball is then whipped into the middle where McAuley rises to connect with it, but the defender can only direct his header over the bar

Bournemouth are fortunate not to concede a penalty as Elphick handles Brown's low cross into the box, but the referee gives nothing. Soon after Gamboa fires in a powerful effort from the edge of the box that the keeper manages to parry to safety.

SUBSTITUTION: The visitors make their first change of the match, with Samaras coming on for Ideye.

This time it's Bournemouth who feel that they have a shout for a penalty as Rantie heads the ball back across the box to Smith who fires in a strike which hits McAuley. It would have been harsh if it was awarded, as the ball struck the defender at point-blank range.

SUBSTITUTION: It's another change made by Albion, as Sessegnon replaces O'Neil.

Sessegnon almost makes an immediate impact as he picks up the ball in space and drives towards the box. The home defence back off and allow him to shoot, but his effort isn't the best and heads well wide of the post.

Despite West Brom increasing the pressure, Bournemouth are still looking threatening and they come close to doubling their lead when Smith drives down the right, before pulling the ball back across the box for Fraser. The Scot then takes a touch, before spinning and driving in a shot, but he ends up putting the ball just wide of the post.

Things almost turn sour for Bournemouth as the ball is played back towards Camp, but it is far too short for the keeper and Anichebe gets there first. Luckily for the hosts, the striker takes a heavy touch and stumbles as the chance goes to waste.

SUBSTITUTION: The hosts make their first change of the match, with Wilson replacing Rantie.

SUBSTITUTION: It's a final throw of the dice by West Brom, as Berahino comes on to replace Blanco.

SUBSTITUTION: The hosts also make a change, as Francis is on for Fraser.

Albion are yet to put their opponents under any real pressure and at the moment Bournemouth are looking the side more likely to score next. They are still pouring men forward in the attack looking to double their lead and at times it is last-ditch defending from the visitors.

You would not think that West Brom are a goal down and 10 minutes away from going out of the cup based on how they are playing. There is a lack of urgency when they get into their opponents half and they seem content to keep hold of possession instead of trying to get in behind the Bournemouth defence.

GOAL! Bournemouth 1-1 West Bromwich Albion (Tommy Elphick own goal)

The visitors level the scores with five minutes left to play as Samaras drives into the box from the left and fires in a low strike that takes a deflection off Elphick and finds a way past Camp at his near post.

GOAL! Bournemouth 2-1 West Bromwich Albion (Callum Wilson)

What an ending to the match we have here! Bournemouth are back in front just moments after being pegged back, as Wilson is played free down the right by Smith, before cutting inside and driving a low shot across goal that Myhill gets a hand to, but cannot stop from finding the back of the net.

CHANCE! What a huge chance this is for West Brom to level for the second time. It's Baird who should score as he is picked out unmarked inside the box, but somehow ends up putting his header over the bar!

We are going to have four minutes of stoppage time.

FULL-TIME: Bournemouth 2-1 West Bromwich Albion

It's all over at Dean Court and following an incredible ending to the match Bournemouth have booked their place in the fifth-round of the League Cup. It looked as if we were headed for extra time after Albion's late equaliser, but Callum Wilson's goal just a minute later has kept up their winning run.

I'm afraid that's all we've got time for here tonight. Please stay with us for all of this week's League Cup action and the reaction form all of today's matches. I hope you enjoy the rest of your evening. Goodbye!
