Report: Jozy Altidore wanted by Werder Bremen

Werder Bremen have expressed an interest in signing Sunderland striker Jozy Altidore, according to reports.

The American international played in the Black Cats' 1-1 draw with West Ham United on Saturday and missing a gilt-edged chance to put the hosts in front on the stroke of half time.

According to The Sunderland Echo, Bundesliga scouts have been watching the 25-year-old in action for his country, where he has proved more prolific.

Altidore has scored just three goals in all competitions for Sunderland since his £6.5m move from AZ eighteen months ago.
