Nosworthy nears permanent deal

Championship club Watford are keen on tying centre-back Nyron Nosworthy down to a permanent deal, according to Sky Sports News.

The 31-year-old has returned to parent club Sunderland following a six-month loan spell with the Hornets.

However, Watford manager Sean Dyche is hoping to secure a return for the defender and could submit an offer of around £750,000.

The Vicarage Road-based club will hand Nosworthy an 18-month contract.
