Preview: Brentford vs. Watford

Sports Mole looks ahead to the Championship meeting between promotion rivals Brentford and Watford.

Promotion rivals Brentford and Watford lock horns in the Championship on Tuesday, with just two points separating them in the table ahead of kickoff.

The Bees will start the evening in fourth place, having won four of the last six, and are unlikely to make many changes from the side that won 1-0 at Leeds United last weekend.

Brentford boss Mark Warburton stuck to his guns for the trip to Elland Road, but new signing Jack O'Connell could make his debut after joining the club from Blackburn Rovers on deadline day.

Alan McCormack could be in line for a return to first-team action after making the bench at Leeds, with Moses Odubajo the man to make way.

With a favourable goal difference, sixth-placed Watford could leapfrog Brentford if they defeat them, and confidence in their camp will be high following a 1-0 win over Blackburn Rovers.

Daniel Tozser may be drafted back into the Hornets lineup after dropping to the bench against Rovers, with Juan Carlos Paredes swapped out under manager Slavisa Jokanovic's rotation system.

Brentford:

Form in Championship: LWWWLW
Form in all competitions: LWWWLW

Possible starting lineup: Button, Odubajo, Tarkowski, Dean, Bidwell, Diagouraga, Douglas, Jota, Pritchard, Dallas, Gray

Watford:

Form in Championship: WLWWLW
Form in all competitions: LLWWLW

Possible starting lineup: Gomes; Cathcart, Angella, Hoban; Tozser, Layun, Watson, Munari, Anya; Ighalo, Deeney

Sports Mole says: 1-1
