Slavisa Jokanovic: 'We did enough for the victory'

Watford boss Slavisa Jokanovic believes that his side did just enough to secure the points and move to the top of the Championship in their win over Birmingham City.

Watford boss Slavisa Jokanovic was pleased with his side's performance as they grinded out a 1-0 win against Birmingham City to move to the top of the Championship.

The Hornets were frustrated in the first half as they were unable to find the breakthrough, but Craig Cathcart found the back of the net with a well-taken volley early in the second to hand his side the three points.

Jokanovic told Sky Sports News: "This competition is very tough and complicated and we found the same today.

"I must be happy with our performance, I must be proud with how we played in the first half and in the second half we made many chances.

"After we scored the goal we had more control and my team interpreted very well how we must finish the game and not make mistakes and at the end I believe we deserved the three points."

Watford hold a one-point lead at the top of the Championship with two games remaining in the season.
