Ben Foster has clarified that he was not injured during a recent appearance in a charity game for Hashtag United.

Ben Foster has made a public statement about his injury, clarifying that it did not take place during a recent charity match for Hashtag United.

The Watford goalkeeper missed out on the Leicester City game and is currently out of action due to a groin problem, but there had been some questioning whether or not that happened in a charity match.

Foster has become popular on YouTube in recent times and this led to him making a cameo appearance outfield in the recent charity fixture that Hashtag United put on.

The former England international took to Twitter to state: "Hi guys just to clear this up, unfortunately, I injured my groin in training on the Thursday before the Leicester City game.

"Hopefully nothing too major! It certainly had nothing to do with my 15-minute cameo in a charity kick about earlier in the week! Hope to be back soon."

The Hornets will be back in action on Wednesday night when they host the current table-toppers Chelsea in their latest Premier League fixture.
