Cani signs new Villarreal deal

Experienced midfielder Cani has signed a new four-year contract with La Liga side Villarreal.

The 32-year-old, who joined the Spanish outfit from Real Zaragoza in 2006, has appeared over 300 times for the Yellow Submarine.

The playmaker has also been one of the best performers in La Liga this season – registering six assists and scoring twice in the new campaign.

A press conference has been scheduled for later this afternoon, where the Spaniard will comment on his four-year extension.
