Hoffenheim put nine past USC Paloma

Hoffenheim advance into the second round of the DFB-Pokal with a 9-0 win over USC Paloma, with Sven Schipplock scoring five for the Bundesliga outfit.

Hoffenheim have advanced into the second round of the DFB-Pokal following a 9-0 win over USC Paloma on Sunday.

It took only nine minutes for Hoffenheim to open the scoring, with Tarik Elyounoussi finding the back of the net and it was simply one-way traffic from that moment.

Six more goals arrived in the first period, with Ermin Bicakcic, Sven Schipplock [four] and Adam Szalai helping the Bundesliga side lead 7-0 at the interval.

Schipplock had his fifth of the match in the early stages of the second period, with the home side simply unable to match the quality on display.

Anthony Modeste made it nine late on as Hoffenheim breezed into the next round.
