Thursday morning's La Liga transfer talk news roundup:

Manchester United 'willing to spend £61m to beat Real Madrid to Jules Kounde'

Manchester United reportedly have a €70m (£60m) price in mind to see off competition from Real Madrid for Sevilla defender Jules Kounde.

The Red Devils are believed to be looking for a new centre-back and have made Kounde their leading target ahead of the summer transfer window.

However, United are expected to face strong competition from a number of other clubs, with Spanish giants Madrid also said to be keen to snap up the France Under-21s international.

According to Spanish outlet La Razon, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are considered the favourites to sign Kounde as they are prepared to meet Sevilla's valuation.

Madrid would apparently have to first sell a player to fund a deal, making a move for free agent David Alaba all the more appealing.

Kounde, also a rumoured target for Paris Saint-Germain, has made 71 appearances for Sevilla since joining from Bordeaux in July 2019.

Paris Saint-Germain 'set asking price for Kylian Mbappe'

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly signalled that Kylian Mbappe will be available for €200m (£174m) this summer if the attacker does not sign a new contract.

The 22-year-old's existing deal in Paris is due to expire in June 2022, and the France international has not yet decided whether to commit his future to the Ligue 1 champions.

Liverpool, Real Madrid, Juventus and Manchester City are all believed to be interested in signing the World Cup winner, who has scored 21 times in 29 appearances at club level this term.

According to Le Parisien, PSG are desperate to keep hold of the attacker, but Mauricio Pochettino's side would be prepared to sell him for €200m (£174m) this summer if he does not sign a new contract.

The report claims that any possible suitor would also need to pay Mbappe a salary in excess of €30m (£26m) a year due to his standing as one of the best young players in the world.

The Frenchman scored a hat-trick as PSG recorded a 4-1 win over Barcelona in the first leg of their last-16 Champions League clash at Camp Nou on Tuesday night.

Mbappe has netted 111 goals and registered 59 assists in 153 outings for his current side in all competitions.
