Friday morning's La Liga transfer talk news roundup:

Liverpool-linked Eder Militao 'free to leave Real Madrid on loan'

Real Madrid outcast Eder Militao is reportedly free to head for the Bernabeu exit door this month amid links with Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

The former Porto man arrived in the summer of 2019 with plenty of promise, but Zinedine Zidane continues to rely on Raphael Varane and Sergio Ramos in the heart of defence.

Militao has made a meagre three appearances for Los Blancos across all competitions this term and has been tipped to make a switch to either Spurs or Liverpool in order to enjoy more first-team action.

Now, journalist Duncan Castles reports that a temporary move away from the Spanish capital could be on the cards this month, telling the Transfer Window Podcast: "One player who has been mentioned is Eder Militao, the centre-back at Real Madrid who is out of favour there.

"Madrid are trying to offload the player, they want ideally to sell. I'm told their asking price is €50 million (£44.5m), but there is the option there of getting Militao on a six-month loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the season."

The Brazil international penned a six-year deal upon his arrival in Madrid last year, with his current contract therefore set to run until 2025.

Arsenal 'considering move for Barcelona goalkeeper Neto'

Arsenal are reportedly keen to bring Barcelona goalkeeper Neto to the Emirates Stadium.

The 31-year-old has been understudy to Marc-Andre ter Stegen at Camp Nou since July 2019, making just 14 appearances for the Catalan club in all competitions.

Neto has a contract at Camp Nou until June 2023, but according to Sky Sports News, Arsenal are hoping to entice the Brazil international to the club during the January transfer window.

The report that the Gunners are eyeing an initial loan move for the South American, with the option of making the deal permanent during the summer window.

Barca, though, are said to value Neto in excess of £18.6m, which could price Mikel Arteta's side out of a move as they already have a number one goalkeeper, Bernd Leno.

The London club have also been linked with Aston Villa's Tom Heaton amid suggestions that Arteta has already lost faith in Alex Runarsson, who arrived as Emiliano Martinez's replacement last summer.
