Knee injury rules Ifeoma Dieke out of the Olympic Games

Team GB defender Ifeoma Dieke has been ruled out the remainder of the Olympic Games with a knee injury.

A scan this afternoon has revealed that the 31-year-old damaged her anterior cruciate ligament following an awkward landing during her side's 3-0 win over Cameroon yesterday.

Dieke was one of just two Scottish players to have been included in Hope Powell's squad for the Games.

She will be replaced by Chelsea's Dunia Susi, subject to clearance from the International Olympic Committee.
