Sweden announce 23-man preliminary squad for World Cup

Sweden manager Janne Andersson has announced his preliminary squad for this summer's World Cup.

Premier League stars including Manchester United's Victor Lindelof and Martin Olsson of Swansea City have made the cut for the 23-man roster.

Pontus Jansson of Leeds United and fellow Championship player Sebastian Larsson of Hull City were also named in the squad.

Andersson has until June 4 to name his final squad for the World Cup, which gets underway on June 14.

Sweden have been drawn against Germany, Mexico and South Korea in Group F.

Defenders: Mikael Lustig (Celtic/Scotland), Victor Nilsson-Lindelof, Andreas Granqvist, Martin Olsson, Ludwig Augustinsson, Filip Helander (Bologna/Italy), Pontus Jansson, Emil Krafth

Midfielders: Emil Forsberg, Albin Ekdal, Viktor Claesson, Gustav Svensson, Sebastian Larsson, Jimmy Durmaz, Oscar Hiljemark, Marcus Rohden
