Sunderland's Jordi Gomez will miss the remaining three games of the club's Premier League season after fracturing his kneecap in training.
The 29-year-old is expected to be on the sidelines for six weeks, while defender Wes Brown has also been ruled out of tomorrow's crucial clash against Leicester City at the Stadium of Light.
Brown had only just returned to action last weekend after spending six weeks on the treatment table with a knee injury, but the problem has returned.
Midfielder Jack Rodwell will also play no part in tomorrow's match as he has aggravated a hamstring problem that he has been suffering with throughout the season.
The Black Cats are two points above relegation.
