Stoke City manager Mark Hughes is reportedly plotting a £6m swoop for Mame Biram Diouf.

Stoke City are allegedly close to completing a surprise swoop for Hannover striker Mame Biram Diouf.

Potters boss Mark Hughes is willing to offer £6m to bring the former Manchester United forward back to the Premier League, according to the Daily Mail.

Diouf failed to make an impact at Old Trafford, but has scored 18 goals in 38 games for the Bundesliga outfit.

The Senegal international was on target during his team's recent 2-1 friendly victory over West Bromwich Albion in Austria.
