FC Dallas winger Brek Shea has been granted a work permit to join Stoke City.
The 22-year-old completed a medical with the Premier League club on Wednesday afternoon.
The USA international has now been given the green light to finalise a move to the Britannia Stadium.
Shea, who started his career with Dallas in 2008, has won 15 caps for his country.
