Lambert to hold Stoke talks on Friday?

Stoke City and Paul Lambert have reportedly decided to hold talks on Friday to decide whether the Scot will remain at the bet365 Stadium.

In January, Lambert was brought in as a replacement for Mark Hughes, but just 13 points were recorded from 15 Premier League games and Stoke were relegated to the Championship.

Lambert has two years remaining on his contract at the Staffordshire-based club but the two parties allegedly have a 'break clause' in the 48-year-old's contract, meaning that changes could be made this summer.

According to the Daily Mail, meetings will take place on Friday to determine whether Lambert will be given the opportunity to try to earn promotion from the second tier.

A report has suggested that former West Ham United manager David Moyes will be in the frame to replace his compatriot should Lambert leave the club.
