Peter Crouch desperate to commit future to Stoke City

Crouch eager to extend Stoke stay

Peter Crouch has revealed that he is eager to stay at Stoke City for the foreseeable future.

The England international has become a regular in the side under Mark Hughes, and he is hoping to sign a new deal with the Potters before his current contract expires next summer.

"I'm happy here - probably happier than I've ever been anywhere," the 33-year-old, who moved to Stoke from Tottenham Hotspur in 2011, told reporters.

"I've loved every minute of it here and still am. I'm in my fourth season, which does seem a bit strange because I've moved around a lot more than I would have liked.

"I'd like to extend my stay and I still feel I've got a lot to offer. I honestly feel like I'm a better player now than when they signed me for a lot of money."

Crouch and his Stoke teammates are back in action against Swansea City on Sunday afternoon.
