Michael Tonge makes Stevenage switch

Stevenage have completed the signing of former Sheffield United winger Michael Tonge.

The 32-year-old, who made almost 300 appearances for the Blades, has been without a club since he was released by Leeds United at the end of last season.

"I'm delighted, I jumped at the chance to play some football," he told the club's official website. "I'm very impressed. We've got a good group of players, a good manager and are trying to play the game in the right way."

Tonge may now be included in the squad for tonight's League Two encounter against Portsmouth.
