Villarreal defender Pau Torres reportedly remains as a priority transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering whether to switch their attention to Villarreal defender Pau Torres.

Despite already securing the services of Cristian Romero from Atalanta BC, the North London outfit are known to still be in the market for a new centre-back.

Various names have been linked with a switch to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with any financial outlay likely offset by at least one exit.

According to Spanish journalist Veronica Brunati, Spurs may move for Torres over the coming weeks, particularly with Manchester United now out of the running.

Brunati suggests that chairman Daniel Levy could look to make an impact in the transfer market in order to convince Harry Kane to stay at the club.

Villarreal would allegedly be open to a sale if they receive an offer in the region of £45m.
