Report: Tottenham Hotspur monitoring River Plate forward Teofilo Gutierrez

Tottenham Hotspur are monitoring the performances of River Plate striker Teofilo Gutierrez, according to a report.

Spurs sent scouts to watch the 29-year-old in action in his side's clash against Velez Sarsfield last week, as Mauricio Pochettino is mulling over a potential move for the forward to bolster his side's attacking threat.

Gutierrez has a price tag of £5m and Pochettino is considering his options following Emmanuel Adebayor's and Roberto Soldado's inconsistent form this season, reports The Mirror.

The Colombia international has netted 10 goals in 12 appearances for River Plate this season.
