Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur-linked full-back Dani Alves rubbishes reports linking him with an imminent move to the Premier League.

Juventus full-back Dani Alves has appeared to rubbish suggestions that he is closing in on a move to the Premier League, labelling the recent reports "shit".

The 34-year-old has been heavily linked with both Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur so far this summer after revealing that he is open to making a switch to the English top flight at some point in his career.

A video posted by Juve teammate Gonzalo Higuain on social media on Saturday, in which he appeared to say his goodbyes to Alves, saw the speculation mount.

Reports in the British press suggested that City had won the £5m race for the Brazilian's signature, but Alves has taken to Twitter to hit back at these claims.

"Don't spread shit," he said in response to one particular article. "Higuain sent a video for me in a television programme. Don't do your job badly, please."

Alves helped Juve to a domestic double last season, adding to the 19 major honours won during his time with former club Barcelona.
