Fulham's Tosin Adarabioyo is reportedly set to stay at Craven Cottage after his proposed move to Monaco falls through.

Tosin Adarabioyo is reportedly set to remain at Fulham after a proposed move to Ligue 1 side Monaco fell through.

The defender, who joined Fulham from Manchester City in 2020, has been linked with a move away from Craven Cottage throughout the transfer window.

With less than 12 months left to run on the player's contract, Fulham have been open to selling Adarabioyo rather than risk losing him on a free transfer next summer.

Serie A giants Inter Milan showed an interest early in the transfer window, while Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with a potential move.

However, Monaco have been leading the race to secure his signature in recent weeks, before talks initially broke down between the two clubs.

A recent report suggested that a deal was back on after Monaco resumed negotiations with Fulham over a potential transfer.

However, according to journalist Nizaar Kinsella, the proposed move has collapsed after the two clubs failed to reach an agreement

Fulham were understood to be holding out for their £13m valuation after rejecting a £8m offer from Monaco last week.

The Ligue 1 side ultimately failed to submit a suitable bid, ensuring that Adarabioyo will remain a Fulham player until January at the very least.

Monaco will be left frustrated after they identified Adarabioyo as a potential replacement for Axel Disasi, who completed a £38.5m move to Chelsea earlier this summer.

Marco Silva, meanwhile, can still call upon Adarabioyo as one of his central defensive options, which also includes Issa Diop, Tim Ream and Calvin Bassey.

After seeing his proposed move fall through, it remains to be seen whether the 25-year-old will feature in the matchday squad when Fulham face Manchester City on Saturday.
