Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Southampton could line up for their Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday evening.

Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl will be boosted by the return of Takumi Minamino for his side's Premier League battle with Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night.

The Liverpool loanee was ineligible for their FA Cup semi-final defeat to Leicester City at the weekend, but he could challenge Moussa Djenepo and Theo Walcott for a spot on the right-hand side here.

Nathan Redmond could not add to his impressive FA Cup tally at Wembley and was eventually replaced after 59 minutes by Che Adams, and the Scotland man will hope to start up top alongside Danny Ings, who boasts six goal contributions in five games for Southampton against Spurs.

James Ward-Prowse and Ibrahima Diallo are shoo-ins while Will Smallbone and Oriol Romeu recuperate from serious injuries, although the Saints' injury list has eased in recent weeks, with Michael Obafemi the only other occupant of the treatment room.

Kyle Walker-Peters will be keen to impress against his former club, and while Mohammed Salisu is pushing for more game time, Jan Bednarek and Jannik Vestergaard are unlikely to be displaced in defence.

Fraser Forster's spot in goal could come under threat from Alex McCarthy after he shipped three to West Bromwich Albion, but the former Celtic man should continue in between the sticks for now.

Southampton possible starting lineup:
Forster; Walker-Peters, Bednarek, Vestergaard, Bertrand; Minamino, Diallo, Ward-Prowse, Armstrong; Ings, Adams
