Gareth Bale made his return to the club on loan from Real Madrid, while Spurs also spent big on the likes of Sergio Reguilon, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Matt Doherty in addition to loaning Carlos Vinicius. Attention will now switch to the January window as Jose Mourinho continues to mould his squad.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Liverpool are reportedly weighing up a January move for Inter Milan centre-back Milan Skriniar.

The Reds are expected to enter the winter transfer market for a new defender, having lost Virgil van Dijk to a serious knee injury, potentially for the remainder of the 2020-21 campaign.

Schalke 04 duo Ozan Kabak and Malick Thiaw have been linked with moves to Anfield, but according to ESPN, the Premier League champions have also identified Skriniar as a target.

The Slovakia international has previously been linked with Manchester City and Manchester United, while a move to Tottenham Hotspur was also thought to be an open during the summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old fell down the pecking order at San Siro in the latter stages of last season and is no longer considered to be indispensable for the Italian outfit, having only made two Serie A appearances this term.

Skriniar's existing deal at San Siro is due to expire in the summer of 2023.

Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur interested in Orbelin Pineda?

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly both tracking Cruz Azul attacker Orbelin Pineda.

The 24-year-old, who has previously been linked with Manchester City, has been capped on 21 occasions by the Mexican national team.

Pineda has contributed eight goals and seven assists in 68 appearances for Cruz Azul, meanwhile, since arriving at La Maquina from Guadalajara in 2019.

According to 90min, scouts from Arsenal and Tottenham have been closely monitoring the performances of the versatile winger as they consider making offers in 2021.

The report, though, claims that the London duo could face competition from the likes of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Everton, Ajax and Porto if they were to make a move.

Pineda's existing contract at Estadio Azteca is due to expire in December 2021.
