Tottenham Hotspur-linked Ange Postecoglou insists that now is not the time to discuss his future as Celtic manager following Saturday's 3-1 Scottish Cup final win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Ange Postecoglou has insisted that now is not the time to discuss his future as Celtic manager after leading the club to the domestic treble following Saturday's 3-1 Scottish Cup final triumph over Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Speculation surrounding the 57-year-old's long-term future with the Hoops has been rife in recent weeks amid reported interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

Postecoglou has continuously brushed aside rumours about his future, despite recent reports claiming that Spurs intend to appoint the Australian as their new manager at some stage next week.

The North Londoners have been on the lookout for a new boss since the departure of Antonio Conte in March, and have already been turned down by the likes of Julian Nagelsmann, Mauricio Pochettino and Arne Slot.

Postecoglou is the latest name believed to be at the top of Tottenham's managerial shortlist, but the Celtic boss has insisted that he is only focused on celebrating the club's Scottish Cup triumph with his players and staff.

"I'm going to be a little bit selfish. People around me have all worked hard to enjoy this moment, so that's what I'm going to do," Postecoglou told BBC Scotland.

"I will enjoy it for as long as I can before people drag me away to talk about other things.

"We've won the trophy that eluded us last year, so it feels great, it's the last day of the season. It's an occasion and it was nice to finish it off that way."

Speaking to BBC Sportsound shortly after, Postecoglou added: "I think I deserve to enjoy this moment just like everyone else. I worked really hard for this moment. I owe it to my friends and to my family. I get why you have to ask the question, but from my perspective, I deserve to enjoy this moment.

"There will be a time to come for those kinds of questions but for now, we've grasped a small chunk of history for ourselves and I'm not going to pass that by by being side tracked."

Meanwhile, Celtic captain Callum McGregor has praised Postecoglou for his impact since arriving at Celtic, and he hopes that the Australian will remain the club's manager for "as long as possible".

Speaking to The Herald, McGregor said: "In the build-up, the boys have been unbelievable and the gaffer has been great. All of the focus has been on this game. We worked so hard this season and we wanted to win it, get another trophy.

"In terms of being linked, he's done a fantastic job. Honestly, I can't tell you how good he's been since the minute he walked in the door.

"All I can say on a personal note is that I hope we can keep him for as long as possible."

Having already lifted the Scottish Premiership title and Scottish League Cup earlier this year, Postecoglou has now become the fifth Celtic manager after Jock Stein, Martin O'Neill, Brendan Rodgers and Neil Lennon to win all three domestic honours in the same season.

The Hoops initially struggled to get going at Hampden Park, but they eventually broke the deadlock in the 38th minute when top scorer and Player of the Season Kyogo Furuhashi drilled a first-time strike into the roof of the net after receiving a low-driven cut-back into the six-yard box from Matt O'Riley.

Celtic doubled their advantage on the 65-minute mark when McGregor picked out Liel Abada to tap home from close range, before Inverness pulled one back through a Daniel Mackay header six minutes from time to set up a nervy finish for the Hoops.

However, Postecoglou's side restored their two-goal cushion deep into stoppage time when Jota fired home from just a few yards out to help Celtic claim a record-extending 41st Scottish Cup.

Postecoglou has won 83, drawn 12 and lost 18 of his 113 games as Celtic manager and has lifted five pieces of silverware since joining the club two years ago.
