How Spurs could line up against Newcastle

Tottenham Hotspur return to domestic action on Sunday afternoon with a fixture against Newcastle United in the Premier League.

Spurs have spent the week preparing for an EFL Cup tie with Leyton Orient, which was later postponed, and travelling to and from North Macedonia for their latest fixture in the Europa League.

However, the 3-1 victory over Skendija 79 has extended the winning streak of Jose Mourinho's side to three matches in all competitions.

Here, Sports Mole predicts how the North Londoners could line up for the meeting with the Magpies.

Out: Japhet Tanganga (thigh), Gareth Bale (knee) Doubtful: Sergio Reguilon (ankle) > Click here for Spurs' latest injury and suspension news ahead of this match Although Dele Alli earned a return to the first XI in midweek, the playmaker is unlikely to retain his spot for this weekend's fixture. Having taken the opportunity to rotate some of his players, Mourinho will recall the likes of Hugo Lloris and Harry Kane. Matt Doherty will take the place of Serge Aurier at right-back, while Eric Dier is in line to come in for either Toby Alderweireld or Davinson Sanchez. As far as midfield is concerned, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is expected to partner Harry Winks, with Giovani Lo Celso being given more creative freedom. Lucas Moura should get the nod on the right wing, leaving Steven Bergwijn and Erik Lamela to be named among the substitutes. Sergio Reguilon may come into contention if he is able to shake off an ankle sprain, but Gareth Bale remains sidelined with a knee injury.
