Roy Hodgson struggling to include Harry Kane into England's starting eleven

Roy Hodgson suggests that he is struggling to fit Harry Kane into England's starting XI, despite the Spurs scoring on his international debut.

Roy Hodgson has revealed that he is struggling to find a place in England's starting XI for Harry Kane.

Within two minutes of his international debut, Kane scored England's fourth goal of their victory over Lithuania, giving Hodgson a dilemma about the Tottenham Hotspur striker's inclusion in the starting lineup.

However, the Three Lions boss is not willing to gift the 21-year-old his full debut just yet as he is unwilling to change England's playing style.

"It's good Harry gets his chance and grabs it with both hands - it adds that bit of magic to the evening," Hodgson told BBC Sport.

"In this way of playing, he competes with Wayne Rooney. To get him in the team we would have to change our way of playing.

"We can do that but the players are suited to the way we're playing at the moment. We've got so many good players I feel whoever I put in will do a good job. Everyone's trying to be a good unit."

Rooney, Danny Welbeck and Raheem Sterling also got their names on the scoresheet in England's 4-0 victory in Euro 2016 qualifying on Friday night.
