Torres "proud" to make Spain Under-21 debut

Atletico Madrid youngster Oliver Torres has spoken of his pride at being handed his first cap for the Spain Under-21s against Belgium on Tuesday night.

Torres said that he was happy to play for an hour and pleased to be part of a team that included 11 other debutants.

"I'm very happy," he told the club's official website. "I played half an hour, I felt good and I'm happy with my teammates.

"I can not ask for more than and Under-21 debut at 18. I'm happy and proud."

Torres has made one appearance for the Atletico first team.
