Llorente still has Spain ambition

Sevilla forward Fernando Llorente has refused to give up on his "dream" of returning to the international fold with Spain.

The 30-year-old has scored seven times in 23 appearances for his country, but has not made an appearance for Vicente del Bosque's team since 2013.

The striker is a long way down the pecking order for Euro 2016, but has vowed to do his best for Sevilla in a bid to earn a recall.

"The dream of the national team goes through Sevilla, that is very clear to me. The important thing is to have a great season with Sevilla, to score as many goals as I can, and from there, be an option to return," Llorente told Marca.

"It's not something that worries me now or that I've got in my head. This season I want to win something with Sevilla. It would be wonderful and from there, to give my best. If I get into the national team it'd be a dream."

Llorente joined Sevilla from Juventus in the summer after two seasons with the Italian champions.
