Louis Almond has joined Southport on a short-term deal.
The forward, who left Hyde last week, has joined up with the non-League side until the end of the season.
However, the 23-year-old is ineligible for Saturday's game against Alfreton through suspension.
Almond, who began his career at Blackpool, has scored 18 goals in 76 league appearances for five different clubs.
