Team News: Jack Payne starts for Southend United

Southend United manager Phil Brown has handed 21-year-old midfielder Jack Payne a start in their League Cup first-round game against Yeovil Town this evening.

Payne is one of several changes from the side that beat Plymouth Argyle at the weekend.

Yeovil, who also started their league season with a win, have decided to make one or two changes themselves, with goalscorer Ed Upson given a midweek rest.
