Southampton agree to sign Juanmi from Malaga

Southampton have made their first signing of the summer, agreeing to sign Juanmi from Malaga on a four-year contract.

The Saints met Malaga's buyout clause of around £5m to secure the capture of the 22-year-old, who made his international debut with Spain earlier this year.

"I am anxious and I want to start as soon as possible," the forward told the club website. "This is a big club and it has shown a lot of trust in me.

"The training ground is magnificent and likewise the stadium. It really, really is a big club.

"Since I was very young, it's always been a dream for me to play in the Premier League. The style of football played here is similar to the way I play, so it's a dream come true."

Juanmi scored eight goals in 34 La Liga appearances last season.
