Team News: Virgil van Dijk absent as Southampton host Huddersfield Town

Virgil van Dijk has not been picked in Southampton's matchday squad ahead of Saturday's Premier League meeting with Huddersfield Town.

Saints boss Mauricio Pellegrino has made five changes from the side which lost 1-0 at Chelsea, with Mario Lemina, Steven Davis, Dusan Tadic, Matt Targett and Charlie Austin coming into the XI.

Cedric Soares, Oriol Romeu, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Ryan Bertrand and Manolo Gabbiadini are the players who miss out.

Terriers manager David Wagner has made three changes, with Chris Lowe, the suspended Jonathan Hogg and the injured Elias Kachunga out of the starting XI.

Scott Malone, Danny Williams and Tom Ince are the players who take their places to start the game against Southampton.
