Friday's Premier League predictions including Southampton vs. Newcastle United

Sports Mole provides score predictions for both of Friday night's Premier League fixtures - Brighton & Hove Albion vs. Burnley and Southampton vs. Newcastle United.

Two sides aiming to end torrid spells of form in the Premier League will lock horns on Friday as Burnley make the long journey to the South Coast to take on Brighton & Hove Albion.

Both sides fell to defeat to big six sides last time out, with Brighton losing to Tottenham Hotspur while Burnley were no match for an inspired Chelsea at Turf Moor.

We say: Brighton & Hove Albion 1-0 Burnley

Unlike Brighton - who actually have a top-flight win to their name this season - Burnley are still chasing their first three points of the campaign but will no doubt feel that their trip to the South Coast represents their best chance of victory so far. That being said, the Clarets just cannot seem to find the back of the net and their barren run in front of goal looks set to continue against an imperious Brighton backline, so we are backing the Seagulls to scrape a slender victory on Friday.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Southampton vs. Newcastle (Friday, 8.00pm)

Southampton and Newcastle United will both be aiming to build on respective victories in the Premier League when they meet at St Mary's Stadium for Friday evening's showdown.

Southampton came out on top in a seven-goal thriller with Aston Villa at the weekend, while Newcastle condemned Everton to their second defeat of the season last time out.

We say: Southampton 2-1 Newcastle United

Despite losing the prolific Ings for the next few weeks, last weekend's victory at Villa proved that Southampton have goals in abundance in other areas of the pitch, and they can feel confident of chalking up a couple of strikes against a Newcastle side without a clean sheet since the first gameweek of the season. Hasenhuttl's men are enjoying a terrific spell of form and we expect them to record a third consecutive victory here, but Newcastle are sure to make it a difficult evening for them nonetheless.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.
