Graziano Pelle: Southampton "will have better moments"

Southampton striker Graziano Pelle insists that his side will improve following their slow start to the season and early Europa League exit on Thursday.

Southampton striker Graziano Pelle has suggested that his side "will have better moments" following their Europa League exit against FC Midtjylland on Thursday.

The Saints have picked up two points in their first three Premier League fixtures and currently sit in the relegation zone, but the 30-year-old striker insists that the team will improve.

Speaking to the club's website, Pelle said: "We have an amazing group. We don't have a problem with each other. Football is a lot about confidence - when the result doesn't come everything looks like it is not your moment.

"We can't anymore think about what has happened. Of course we have to look at the game to improve, but now there is a new season.

"We need to work hard to again try to get the same things we did last season. We will do our best and we will be sure that we will have better moments."

Southampton will take on Norwich City on Sunday.
