Adam Lallana hails Southampton strikers

Adam Lallana praises the form of Southampton teammates Rickie Lambert and Jay Rodriguez following the team's strong start to the season.

Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana has praised the form of strike duo Rickie Lambert and Jay Rodriguez following the team's strong start to the season.

The pair were both on target last weekend as the Saints moved into the European places with a 2-0 win over Fulham in the Premier League.

"It's a pleasure to play with both of them," Lallana is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "I've played with Rickie for four or five years now and feel like I know his game inside out and when Jay Rod's playing with confidence like that, there are not many better than him."

Southampton continue their league campaign on Saturday when they travel to Stoke City.
