Ryan Dickson out for six months?

Southampton defender Ryan Dickson could reportedly miss the remainder of the season after learning that he needs surgery to correct an ankle injury.

The 26-year-old joined League Two outfit Bradford City on loan last month, making six appearances for the Bantams in an impressive spell.

However, according to Bradford's official website, the left-back saw a specialist on Monday, where it was advised that he should undergo the surgery "as soon as possible".

The injury is expected to keep Dickson out of action for six months.
