Southampton defender Nathaniel Clyne confident of top-four finish

Nathaniel Clyne is confident that Southampton will finish in the top four this season.

Southampton defender Nathaniel Clyne has backed his side to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League this season.

The Saints are currently in sixth place in the table, six points adrift of the final Champions League spot.

Ronald Koeman's men have taken just five points from the last 15 on offer, but Clyne is confident that they can improve their form and enjoy a successful end to the campaign.

"We're going into games and we're winning lots of them. You can see where we are in the league - we're doing really well," the full-back told Sky Sports News.

"We're pushing for it and there are still a lot of games left to play. We're all really confident we can get to that fourth spot."

Southampton continue their bid for Champions League qualification on Saturday when they welcome Burnley to St Mary's Stadium.
