Siena and Torino have played out a goalless draw in their opening Serie A encounter at the Renzo Barbera.

It was a tight game, with limited goalscoring opportunities - the best one perhaps falling to Rolando Bianchi in the 50th minute.

The former Manchester City man got on the end of Matteo Brighi's cross, but sent his head over Gianluca Pegolo's bar.

Emanuele Calaio was presented with Siena's best chance in the 63rd minute, but his attempt was blocked.
