League One leaders Scunthorpe United have reportedly rejected a £4m offer from Chinese Super League side Henan Jianye FC for Kevin van Veen.
The 25-year-old joined Scunthorpe from Dutch side FC Oss in January 2015 and has scored eight times in 23 League One appearances during the 2016-17 campaign.
According to Sky Sports News, a £4m offer was submitted from Henan Jianye, but Scunthorpe are not prepared to sell their star forward for anything less than £8m as they seek promotion to the Championship.
Scunthorpe currently sit top of the League One table on 58 points - one point clear of second-placed Sheffield United ahead of their trip to promotion-chasing Southend United on Saturday afternoon.
It is understood that Henan Jianye are preparing to return with an improved offer for the centre-forward.
