Oxford United are reportedly interested in signing highly-rated defender Callum Kennedy from Scunthorpe United.
The 23-year-old, who began his career at Swindon Town, moved to Scunthorpe last summer after helping his former club claim the League Two title.
According to Sky Sports News, a number of clubs are interested in his signature, but Oxford have moved to the head of the queue as they continue their rebuilding plans for the new season.
Kennedy made 18 appearances for Scunthorpe last season.
