Joe Jordan hints interest in Scotland job

Jordan interested in Scotland job

Joe Jordan has hinted that he is interested in becoming the new Scotland national team coach.

The former Scotland striker is currently without a job after Harry Redknapp's departure from Tottenham Hotspur at the end of last season when he served as part of his coaching staff.

"I know there will be a lot of names, a lot of speculation," he told the BBC.

"And, for my name to be mentioned, yes, it's nice to be linked with the national job.

"I am Scottish, I'm a proud Scotsman and a person that wants to work."

Craig Levein was sacked on Monday because of Scotland's "disappointing results" in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
