Schalke 04 have confirmed that Raul will leave the Bundesliga club at the end of the season.

Recent reports claimed that the former Real Madrid star would decide to leave the German outfit once his contract expires at the end of the season.

The club have now announced that the prolific forward has decided not to renew his contract after two years with the Royal Blues.

The 34-year-old's agent Gines Carvajal claimed last week that the Spanish frontman, who has made 63 appearances for Schalke, has caught the eye of other Bundesliga clubs.
