Report: Samuel Eto'o to stay at Sampdoria

Samuel Eto'o will stay at Sampdoria, despite falling out with manager Sinisa Mihajlovic, according to reports.

Sampdoria striker Samuel Eto'o will reportedly stay at the club despite a falling-out with manager Sinisa Mihajlovic.

Stories have suggested that Eto'o refused to take part in a double training session following his side's 5-1 defeat to Torino on Sunday, a game in which the forward played no part

However, a source close to the player has said that the incident with the manager was "nothing to report" and that the 33-year-old will stay with the Italian side.

"The incident was nothing to report," BBC Sport quotes the source as saying.

"He can't leave anyway, because he has played for two clubs this season, and you can't play for more than two in a season."

Eto'o only joined Sampdoria last week after leaving Everton.
