Sampdoria, Udinese share four goals

Sampdoria have come from behind to earn a 2-2 draw against Udinese in an entertaining Serie A clash this afternoon.

The visitors went ahead in the 15th minute when a punch from keeper Orestis Karnezis landed at the feet of Pedro Obiang, who made no mistake by drilling home a low strike.

Sampdoria had a good chance to find the net soon after, but Panagiotis Kone placed his strike just over the bar after being picked out inside the box.

Just past the half-hour mark, Udinese levelled the scores through Alexandre Geijo, who arrived at the front post to tap in Kone's cross.

Within minutes, the Bianconeri had taken the lead, as Danilo met Kone's corner to head in his side's second.

At the start of the second half, Manolo Gabbiadini fired over the bar and Eder lashed a powerful volley wide as Sampdoria pushed for an equaliser.

The hosts did manage to draw level on the hour mark as Gabbiadini met Lorenzo De Silvestri's cross to power a header beyond Karnezis.

As the game entered the final 10 minutes, Udinese came close to regaining their lead, but Gejo headed Silvan Widmer's cross onto the post.

With a minute left to play, Thomas Heurtaux was sent off for Udinese after picking up a second yellow card, but Sampdoria were unable to make their numerical advantage count as the game finished on level terms.
