Inter Milan have moved up to fifth place in the Serie A table with a 2-0 win at Sampdoria.

The visitors took the lead two minutes before half time when Rodrigo Palacio headed in Alvaro Pereira's whipped cross.

The Argentine striker made sure of the victory in injury time as he danced past three defenders before slotting in.

The defeat has left Sampdoria in 12th place in the table.
